Terry Welch, age 52, of Conover, passed away in Watauga County. Born May 2, 1961, Terry was the son of Rachel Wishon Welch and the late Johnny K. Welch. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by two good friends, Russell Glover and Scott Martin; six aunts; and one uncle.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Petree officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charlie Wishon, James Wishon Jr., Steve Beal, Jerry Stewart, Randy Stewart, Eddie Dellinger, Kenny Dellinger, and Ginger Lee.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
