I was blessed by the Lord to have Twyla for my Grandmother. God thought so much of me to give me her, what an honor! She packed a lot of feisty into her tiny body along with a heart worth more than any precious metal or gem that this world could possibly offer. This woman put me on a pedastal that I don't deserve,  but that pedestal was very much an important piece of the person that I am today. She gave me the most fun memories as a child in the summertime and loved me so much to always be honest with me regardless of whether or not it was something I wanted to hear. She listened and would give me advise when I needed it. She & Grandpa facilitated a lot of my childhood adventures and broadened my map of North Carolina. The way that she said my name when I was in trouble, I can hear it clear as day... You could tell that she was irritated, but you could also tell that she wanted to laugh. She was so talented and could draw anything. She would make elaborate cakes for birthdays and they were so good!  We would sit on the back porch and watch the lightning dart across the sky and when it thundered, she would say that the angels are bowling. She had that cutest laugh and honestly was the cutest puker you would ever hear too, you read that part right :) Not that I enjoyed when my Grandma puked... It was just the funniest sound she had ever made and we laughed quite hard about it after the matter. She made me feel like I could take on the world and like I was a celebrity. She was a woman who knew what she liked and did not like, and you knew too if you ever had her for a supper date. She made friends with all walks of Earth and cared very deeply for those close to her. I hope that I make her proud, I know she certainly has made me proud. Love you so much Grandma! Give my Grandpa and my Jesus a hug and a kiss for me and I will give the family a hug and a kiss from you. <3
