Agnes Josephine Harris

Although a resident in Sargent, Texas for the last several years, Agnes always considered Conroe her home because that is where she raised her three children, Earnestine (Earnie), Doug, and Paul.

Agnes was a gifted seamstress. She enjoyed sewing all types of clothes from simple aprons to elaborate prom dresses and wedding gowns. Even in her 80s, almost every Wednesday evening was spent either sewing or quilting with her Sargent friend, Pam Polikua.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Harris, and three brothers, Fred, Buck and Maurice Erickson.

Agnes will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister Mary Wright; son Doug Harris; daughter Earnestine (Earnie) Erickson and husband Fred; son Paul Harris and wife Patty; grandchildren Kim Hulsey and husband Dustin; David Klotz; Janelle Allen; great grandchildren Johnathon, Nick, Tyler; great great grandchildren Delaney and Jesse; nieces Jerry Lou Nix and husband Keith; Theresa Smith and Linda Frazier; and nephew Bobby Wright and wife Shirley.

Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Saturday, August 14 at Metcalf Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, August 15 at 2:00 P.M. at Union Cemetery near Freestone, Texas.
