

Alma, “Jeannette,” Caskey passed away December 27, 2020 at the age of 91 at her residence in Conroe, Texas. She was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
Jeannette was born in Seabrook, Texas January 11, 1929 to Captain Robbie and Della Schutz Strasding. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters Della Mae Kerber and Bobbie Tingle.
Jeannette married John I. Clark on June 2, 1950 in La Porte, Texas. Together they raised two sons, John I Clark, Junior and Gary E. Clark. John and Jeannette were married 42 years at the time of his death in 1992.
In 1997 Jeannette married Bill Caskey, a long- time family friend, and they lived in Edmond, Oklahoma until Bill’s death in 2004. Jeannette enjoyed being a member of Bill’s family and had a special relationship with his family: Don and Jeri Caskey and Larry and Jenneth Caskey and their children and grandchildren.
Jeannette is survived by her son John I. Cark and wife Tricia of Winnsboro, Texas; son Gary E. Clark and wife Kathy of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren Ross and Brittany Clark, Holly and Kaci Clark- Porter, Emily and Kyle Maier, Hannah and Jordan Hortsman, and Nathan and Kristin Clark. Eight great grandchildren will dearly miss their sweet great grandmother: Caroline, Ella, Laura, Nolan, John, Lily, Brooklyn and Will.
Jeannette will be remembered as one who loved to cook good food for her family and friends. She enjoyed her career as a La Porte High School cafeteria manager.
A memorial service will be held at a future date. The service will be at St. James the Apostle Episcopal Church in Conroe Texas where she was a parishioner.
