

Margaret Ann Black Jacobson, 96, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Ann was born on December 24, 1928, in Teague, Texas, to Samuel and Anna Black. Her dad worked for Standard oil Co., and the family of eight moved with him to several Texas towns which included Teague, Hillsboro, Huntsville, Beaumont and Conroe.
Ann graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1949 and married Howard Jacobson, a Minnesota veteran of WWII. They raised their family in Beaumont where Howard worked for the Enterprise and Journal and Ann taught in several schools. They moved to Conroe in 1974 where they both worked for Conroe ISD until they retired. Ann retired as Director of Library Media where she helped open many Conroe ISD school libraries.
Ann belonged to many community organizations including the Conroe Retired School Personnel, Grace Lutheran Church, Library and Friends of Conroe, the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County and D.A.R. She had a great love of history and family heritage and shared that often with her family.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Howard. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Stone and husband Jack; son Martin Jacobson and wife Cindy; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague, Texas.
