This was such a shock for me when I was notified of it last year.  Brian and I were inseparable throughout our years at El Dorado High School.  We fished, camped, partied, cruised, worked, and played together for years in the Placerville area.  Brian and I had a friendship that was full of memories - mostly of good times.  Unfortunately, after high school we lost touch when I enlisted in the Navy, and then moved to Colorado where I currently reside with my lovely wife and two children.  A couple of years ago we got back in touch over email and had made plans to get together in Colorado on a summer trip.  That trip never came to fruition, and I am so sorry I never got to see him one last time.  I will never forget Brian, and my thoughts and prayers go out to Jim, Georgia, Matt, and Andy.

I want to tell you that in the short four years that I knew Brian Lee, a few things struck me about him:  he had a hilarious sense of humor, a gracious spirit and willingness to be an optimist, and he was so, so loyal to his family.  My son, John Jacobs, had just a few years to know Uncle Brian, who would chase him and tickle him. He said "last week, he got away, but Brian got one of Andy's kids"!  I asked him if he loved his Uncle Brian and he said "of course"!  I had to leave the room and cry...because all of Brian's time was consumed by loving his family.  He had such a gentle spirit;  I knew that when I met him, and my mind was never changed. His spirit was just compassionate.  I never forgot that. And we would laugh about silly stuff, just like the rest of the Jacobs family.  In his soul, like in the Jacobs' home, there is love and loyalty.  I guess that is what I what I want you to know about him.  He always talked about how proud he was of his family members, but not much about himself, as I knew him.  He gave, he tried to be a friend and brother and a son and uncle.  I hope that John and I can see him again one day, so that we can catch up, and I can see that wonderful, content smile.  Thanks Brian, for being John's uncle and always smiling when I saw you.  When I see you again, I will say "friend".  You will be dearly missed

Brian was one of those souls that enter your life and prove hard to forget. I enjoyed every moment we shared together, whether we working together or hanging out and seeing movies. He always shared such a positive and upbeat attitude about life which was contagious. He will never be forgotten, and I will truly miss him and his soul.<3 RIP "BRAIINNNN!"

Our hearts are so heavy after hearing about the passing of Brian.  Alan and I, along with so many others, had the privilege of working with him at Outback, where we developed such a strong friendship.  I will always hold close the memories of our many fishing adventures in Bentwater and how Brian made the best garlic bread!  He was such a beautiful person and was one of the most upbeat and cheerful people I have ever met.  Alan and I are truly blessed to have had him a part of our lives.  He will always be "my buddy" and we will miss him greatly.  Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs, we are SO sorry for your loss, and please know that you and the rest of the family are in Alan's and my prayers.

In my brief time working at Outback, I had the great pleasure of working with Brian. He was so much fun to work with. He was always carefree, easy going and happy. Always willing to lend a helping hand and teach a life lesson. I will cherish that time forever. I will miss you, Brian, and your hilarious jokes too.

Brian was always such a caring soul. He could make you laugh even when you were having the worst day and I always admired that about him...may you rest in peace "Brain" <3

I had the pleasure of working with Brian for years, he lit up my day every time we shared a shift together and was always the first one to help someone feeling down. I'll miss him dearly, he was a great person and friend.

Brian was a joy to be around. My husband and I worked with him at Outback. He was a gentle soul with a very good heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult chapter. May God's peace be with you.

I'm so sorry to hear about Brian. Brian and I worked at Outback together for three years and he was such a great person and loveing man.He always made everyone laugh! My boyfriend also has diabetes and brian would help him so much because he was new at being diabetic and brian would always give him supplies. He was always trying to find away to help anyone he could.God bless Brian and his family...Brian will be VERY missed! Everyone from Outback sends love to the family and friends!

 This is a very sad day for me. Today I learned of the passing of a dear friend, whom I was lucky to have as a friend for over 30 years. From before our freshman year started, there was band camp. We became friends immediately, along with Erik Rosen, Clay Combrink, Mark Rubick, and myself, we were the four musketeers +1. From performing at a Cal Bears football game, a trip to Disneyland, and God only knows how many pieces of pizza at Rico's. The parties we had even at his house when his folks were gone, Little Matt and sis were at those too, oh what memories. Thank you Brian for all of the great memories of my younger years, and for coming full circle and continuing our friendship in the past few years. I love you Man... and thank you so much for turning me on to Rush. Ive gone thru 7 copies of Exit, Stage Left thanks to you and YYZ was blasted today so loud I know you heard it..... Brian and I were best friends. I spoke with him minutes before the crash. I got off the phone with him because he was headed out for a job interview. We called and texted eachother almost everyday. The last words he said to me was that he was proud of me and that he loved me. Then I told him I loved him too, and that was the last time I heard his voice around 2:40. I also have some really funny texts he send me and I will be more than happy to share those recent text messages to anyone who wants to laugh in memory of my brother/bestfriend. I'm sorry to hear about Brian's passing.  He was a good friend, and it's unfortunate we didn't keep up with each other through the years.  He was always smiling and brought the spirits of those around him up!  He was often by my side through the last few years of high school, and I was sad when that did not turn into a lifelong close friendship.  I'll always remember him as the friend that stuck with me no matter what.

Our hearts are heavy for the family but our remembrances of Brian are filled with happy and good memories.

I knew Brian when we worked together as teens at our local Jack-in-the-Box. He was always funny and just a great guy. We lost touch and then I found him again on Facebook. I am so sad that he is gone! He was a great guy. For his family, I am devestated for your loss. He will be missed by everyone whose life was touched by his.
