Connor John Steinman, 30, of Spring, Texas, passed away on January 8, 2023 at Methodist Hospital downtown. Connor was born on March 4, 1992, to Larry and Maura McMahon Steinman in Sunrise, FL, and left us all too soon.
After graduating from Oak Ridge School in 2010, Connor attended Kansas Weslayan University in Salina, KS on a football scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 2014. From 2015 to 2017 Connor attended Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, MO, working as an Assistant Defensive Coordinator for the football team while earning his Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice. In August of 2021, Connor was asked by one of his former Lindenwood coaches to join him as a defense coordinator for the Yulee High School football team in Jacksonville, FL. Connor was excited to pursue his dream of coaching football and had enjoyed a successful 2022 season as the team qualified for its first regional playoff game since 2016. His players loved him and he’ll be greatly missed by the entire Yulee football community.
Connor loved spending time with his family and friends, as well as his sweet Husky Ghost he’d had since a puppy. Connor was so proud when he and Ghost successfully graduated from training school and earned his certificate! We know that Connor is enveloped by the love of his grandparents, Peggy and Jack McMahon, and Evelyn and Phil Steinman, who passed before him. Connor is survived by his parents, Maura and Larry Steinman; Aunts Trish McMahon (Sandy) Bonnot and Meghan McMahon (Matt) Recinos; Uncles John (Christa) McMahon and Brian (Michelle) McMahon; Cousins Megan Bonnot (Scott) Kiella, Ryan (Megan) Bonnot, Mitchell Recinos and Curran Recinos; extended family and an abundance of friends. We will all miss him dearly!
