Danny has lived in East Montgomery County most of his life. He loved the simple country life and enjoyed anything outdoors! From riding horses to riding his Harley, you could always find him outside. He loved to hunt, fish and especially barbecue! But his greatest passion was preaching and teaching the word of God as Care Pastor of Caney Creek Cowboy Church. He has touched countless lives and his Kingdom work will continue on through those lives. He will be truly missed by everyone who was blessed to know and love him. As a family, we believe the promises of our Savior, Jesus – that Danny has received a new “glorified” body, free from cancer and pain, and that he is now walking on streets of gold and resting in the arms of Jesus – listening to Him as He says “Well done My good and faithful servant”!
Danny’s favorite verse: Isaiah 40:31 “But those that trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Danny is survived by his parents-Danny Gene Overton, Sr. and Carol Louise Overton; his wife-Allie Overton and two children, Dalton and Cheyenne; his previous wife-Kimberly Bennett and two children, Amanda and Emma; his siblings-Catherine Mayhugh and husband Johnny, Cynthia Chenault and husband David, Scott Overton and Wife Becky.
Many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones are also left behind to treasure his memory.
