Daryl was born on January 27, 1974 in Houston, Tx to Delwin Rolison and Carolyn (Mathisen) Olson the youngest of their 4 children. After his parents divorced and his father remarried. Daryl gained two more sisters but alas was till the youngest in the family. He graduated from Galena Park North Shore High School in 1992.
Daryl is survived by his son Jarrett Lee Rolison and girlfriend Grace Metz of Austin, Tx. Mother Carolyn Olson of Oregon, Brothers, Kenneth Cherry of The Woodlands, Raymond Rolison and wife Yong of Conroe. Sisters Kelley Large and husband Joe of Sealy, Kimberly Green of Jacksonville, Florida and Dawn Cazzell and husband Brian of Noblesville, Indiana. And best friends Lacy Regan of San Antonio, TX and Dennis Davis of Navarre, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delwin Rolison. Stepmother Joy Rolison and sister Rhonda Caraway.
After graduating high school, Daryl enlisted in the United States Air Force in which he served 10 years as a Military Intelligence Analyst. He also worked as a military civilian contractor for another 20 years in the same role.
Daryl loved playing darts and had risen through the amateur ranks to become a semi professional player. He was also a talented saxophone player and also played the harmonica. He had a quirky and sometimes goofy sense of humor that would keep his family and friends laughing for hours.
There will be a celebration of Daryl’s life at 10 am on Saturday June 24, 2023 in the Metcalf Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Neal Cooper officiating.
Daryl’s cremated remains will be interred privately at a future place and time.
