David Alan Breath passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on Friday, February 8, 2019 in The Woodlands, Texas. He was born on June 21, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana to James “Jimmie” William Breath, and Lorraine Madelon Breath.
David was a 1969 graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School, Metairie, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University 1974. He married Linda Katherine Marler on March 21, 1979, in Mobile, Alabama. He worked as a Construction Manager at CRS in Houston and then transferred to New Orleans to work on the VA Hospital. Soon after he opened David Breath, Architect and completed many projects in both New Orleans and Houston. In 2003, David retired but continued to live his life to the fullest. He enjoyed book clubs, and public speaking. David prepared many speeches for the Toastmaster International (Spring Ahead Speakers) and even won Best Speaker on several occasions. He was an active member of Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church in The Woodlands.
David was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cynthia Breath Tripp. He is survived by his wife, Linda Breath and their three daughters: Loretta and her husband, Jake-Paul Gonzales, Natalie, and Ragen. He was Peepaw to Kira, Jake-Paul, Jr. and Camille. Also by his sister, Dianne Louise Porter.
A memorial service will be held on a Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church in The Woodlands, Texas. Friends, family, and those whose lives were touched by David are invited to attend.
