Debra Ann Summers, 65, passed away on April 6, 2026. Born March 15, 1961, in Beech Grove, Indiana, Debra was the daughter of Richard and Tuttie Thomas. She lived in Point Blank, Texas, and left behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and the kind of warm, big-hearted presence that made ordinary days feel like a little more fun.
Debra was a humorous, huge-hearted, free-spirited woman who was simply fun to be around—one of those people who could turn a quick errand into an adventure and a simple conversation into a memory. She had a way of making life feel less serious (even when it was), and she carried herself with the kind of easygoing spark that made others feel instantly at home.
She loved RV traveling with her husband, and she was always up for the next stop, the next view, or the next “let’s see what’s down this road” moment. She enjoyed antique shopping, being at the beach, and—especially—out fishing her husband, which she seemed to take particular delight in doing as often as possible. An animal lover and a great cook, Debra had a knack for caring for others in the most practical, comforting ways—whether that meant a good meal, a good laugh, or making sure no creature (two-legged or four-legged) felt left out.
Debra is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Michael Summers; daughter, Amy Molandes and husband Chris and her grandchildren Maddison and Conner, daughter Katie Murray and husband Justin and her grandchildren Micah and Sebastian; her mother, Tuttie Thomas; her sister, Tammie Huffman and husband Kevin; her brother, James Thomas and wife Cindy; her nieces and nephews, Chandal Moulton, April Richard, Robert Scott, and Justin Thomas; her four legged love, Lily; as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, on April 17, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am following visitation.
