Donald was born April 27, 1940 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Elbert and Irene Lear.
He loved his family unconditionally and always worked hard to provide for them.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn; children, Kurt Lear and wife Vivian, Dona Rodgers and husband Rick; their children Reid and Rebekah, Kari Hanks, Douglas Hanks and David Hanks, numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2017 in Garden Park Cemetery at 12:30pm. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kurt Lear, Rick Rodgers, Reid Rodgers, Doug Hanks, David Hanks, Guy Chanaka and Joseph Berens. Officiating the service is Josh Henry with Trail of Life Cowboy Church.
