Dorothy Mae King

Dorothy Mae King passed away September 6, 2015, in Humble, Texas. She was born on August 13, 1930 to Claude and Bonnie Tillman in McAlister, Oklahoma. Dorothy met the love of her life Jesse Floyd King during a basketball game in McAlester, Oklahoma: And as we can all guess …. The rest is history. The two were married May 20, 1948, in Savanna, Oklahoma. The two enjoyed each other’s company for 65 years. She is preceded in death by: her sister Gloria Hoosier, brothers Leroy Tillman, Claude Tillman, and Don Tillman. Dorothy is survived by daughters; Claudia Mae King Elders and her husband Dale Elders; Connie Jean King Fair and her husband Jerry Fair; grandchildren: Brian Elders and his wife Tina, Audrey Prove and her husband Ken Prove; Jessica Wilson, Jennifer Lifshutz and her husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Aislin Elders, Alyssa Wilson, Candler Elders, Kyra Prove, and Samantha Lifshutz. The family of Dorothy King would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 10:00am at Cashner Colonial Chapel, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, with Minister John Helbig officiating.
