My heart goes out to the Walker family at this time and in the days ahead.  May you find comfort in God's words found at Ps 147:3.

I will miss Aunt Dorothy!  I loved her kindness. I will never forget how she came all the way to Oregon for Danny's and my wedding because her sister was unable to. She was always interested in what was going on with our family. I appreciate her thoughtfulness through the years and how she made me feel part of the family. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Dorothy was a very special woman.  She taught me so much about humility during our work together on the Conroe Historias Project.  She gave her heart in everything she did, and today I remember her smile and wisdom.  I am so grateful to have known her, and our community was truly blessed to have had her.  Blessings to her family.

So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Walker was such a kind person. She had a big heart and was always smiling. She will be greatly missed.

Andy, I grew up in the First Presbyterian Church in Conroe.  My mother, Natale Wallace, was also in "Circle", and the Pan American Round Table, as was your mother.  We are both blessed to have had such kind and loving mothers who helped lead us to Christ.  Losing one's mother is one of life's saddest moments, and I pray that our Lord will comfort you and that all of the golden memories you have of your sweet mother will be a constant companion, as you live out the rest of your life. You have my sympathy, Andy.  May God bless you and your family.

I was saddened to read about Dorothy's passing. I remember her most when she would visit "Aunt" Mable, who lived next door to me. She was always so kind and caring.  May she rest in peace.

I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Walker's passing.  Mrs. Walker was my first teacher on my first day in junior high.  She was my English teacher and worked her hardest to teach  a classroom full of sixth graders.  Looking back, she seemed outnumbered on an impossible mission.  Mrs. Walker was grace under fire personified.  Her calm, soft-spoken, gentle manner overwhelmed the opposition.  We had no chance.  We learned.  Although I didn't know Mrs. Walker beyond the classroom, I'll never forget her.  God bless the teachers.  God bless Dorothy Walker and give comfort to the Walker family.

I remember Aunt Dorothy and all she did for us as kids.  All the summers that we spent with her improving our reading and getting to swim at her house.  I also remember hurting my hand and staying with her.  Aunt Dorothy will always be the example of dignity.  She loved her family and her grandchildren and will truly be missed.

I just heard our dear friend and neighbor, Dorothy Walker, passed away today. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all the Walker Family especially her sons and their wives and children and her sister in law Marlise who also are our neighbors. The family is in all our thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Walker will be missed.
