Gertrude “Pat” Cousino, 91, of Willis, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was born on January 8, 1934, in Ionia, Michigan, to Art and Lucille Wooters. Pat was a cherished, hard-working, devoted, loyal, and beloved member of her community and family.
She dedicated her professional life to nursing before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of care and compassion. Her career was marked by a steadfast commitment to helping others, reflecting her nurturing spirit.
Pat was married to her husband Raymond for 74 years, a testament to their deep and enduring love. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her sons Raymond Jr., Larry, and Lewis Cousino, and her daughter Gail Coates. Her family was her pride and joy, and she found immense happiness in raising her children and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her personal interests included over twenty years of traveling, sewing, knitting, cooking, and gardening, through which she expressed her creativity and zest for life. These hobbies brought her joy and fulfillment, and she shared them generously with those around her.
Pat's legacy is carried on by her grandchildren Jason, Raymond, Danial, and Nicolas; and her great-grandchildren Isabella, Sabrina, and Aurora. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends who will remember her warmth and kindness.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Raymond. A private family service will take place at a later date, allowing her loved ones to celebrate her life in a manner befitting her cherished memory.
