Imelda Plascencia Mojica “Mama Melly”, a resident of Imperial Oaks Community in Conroe, Texas for 30 plus years entered into Eternal rest Saturday February 13, 2021 at 62 years of age. She was born in San Julian, Jalisco Mexico on September 25, 1958 to Antonio and Mary Ellen.
Her working career was spent as a caregiver & housekeeper. Mama Melly worked hard and loved big. She had a servants heart. She enjoyed regularly checking on her family and friends. You always knew without a doubt she loved you.
Mama Melly cherished her children and grandchildren. She always let us know, “I love you too much.”
Mama Melly wanted to make sure you felt special. She had a radiant smile, gave tight hugs and she always smelled so good. If it was your birthday you were celebrated. Her grandchildren always looked forward to a piñata and treats.
Mama Melly taught us to work hard. She would often say, “If you’re not going to do it right, don’t do it at all.” Also by her actions she taught us how to love everyone. She taught us so many life lessons such as a hard work ethic, being thankful, appreciative, giving back, being responsible and respectful. “Con Dios a mi lado, todo se puede.” and “Jesus en ti Confio.” were common phrases we heard often. They translate to “With God by my side, everything is possible.” and “Jesus I trust in you.”
Her “Cuatro Estrellas” or “4 stars” as she called us were present to hold her hands and love on her for the last days of her earthly presence in the ICU.

Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy of love: Partner: Fidencio Rodriguez, her children and their father: Jesus María, Maricela, Juan Daniel, Jesus (Jesse) and wife Keris, Roberto (Bobby) and wife Erin Reynoso. Grandchildren: Maricela, Naomi, Ignatius, Augustine and Antonius Reynoso
Siblings: Vicente, Pepe, Lelia, Rosita, Nena, Patricia, Antonio, Teresita and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Plascencia and Mary Ellen Mojica, also her brother Jose Guadalupe Plascencia.
Visitation for Imelda will be Wednesday, February 24 at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E. White Oak Terrace, Conroe, TX from 5:00-8:00pm with a rosary at 7:30pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Parish located at 26777 Glen Loch Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77384 on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 10am.
