He was born on October 27, 1959, in Mercedes, Texas to parents R Howard Davis and Katherine Louise Davis. He married his best friend and love of his life, his sweet wife, Kimberly “Kim” ”Mimi” Kay (Jones) Davis on November 7, 1981. Jimmy received a Bachelor of Business from Letourneau University.
Jimmy was a long time resident of Conroe, Texas, and spent his childhood in “The Valley” of Harlingen, Texas. He was a retired framing contractor, retired US Postal carrier, and Construction Sales Specialist for ABC Supply. He had a zest for life and the outdoors where he enjoyed his numerous hobbies: remote control cars, remote control airplanes, cycling, photography, and fishing. He was a ‘jack of all trades’ with a wealth of knowledge and experience that he loved to share generously with friends and family. He loved to lend a helping hand. He always had a joke ready, even if it was a bad one (although those were rare).
His family was the great joy of his life. He lit up the lives of his friends and family. He was the kindest son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His memory will remain alive in the stories, laughter, and love he shared so freely.
He is preceded in death by his parents Howard Davis and Katherine Davis. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kim Davis; their four children and their families: Angie Murphy, her husband Austin Murphy, and their children Douglas and MaKayla; Jacob Davis, and his daughter Evy; Sarah Davis, her husband Justin Driver, and their children, Quinn and Calvin; Heidi Smith, her husband Blake Smith, and their son, Hawk; and his sisters, Kathy Villareal, Debbie Mack, and Kristy Sauls.
