Jaxine Ellis Harrell was born in Lovelady, Texas on May 16, 1926 and went to be with her Lord on February 9, 2021 at the age of 94. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and a loyal friend to many. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren who lovingly called her MawMaw. Jaxine was an excellent cook, an avid reader, valedictorian of her high school class, and a teller at First National Bank in Conroe for 25 years. She always had a big smile on her face, a wonderful giggle and kept a positive attitude in every situation she faced. She was a long time member of Conroe’s First Assembly of God church and loved her Lord with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Bertha Ellis, brothers Buck and Joe Ellis, sisters Joyce Elliott and Marie Giles, husband Truman Wallace Harrell, and son Foster Eugene Rutherford. She is survived by her son Clifton L. Rutherford, grandson Ryan Rutherford and wife Faith, granddaughter Hailey Miears and husband Aaron, great granddaughters Claire and Audrey Miears and Emily Presswood, great grandson Luke Miears, the mother of her grandchildren and dear friend Holly York, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 9:00 am-11:00. A private graveside will be held at Center Hill Cemetery in Lovelady, Texas.
