Jeff Haneline, 81, passed away on February 4, 2020. Jeff was born on February 23, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois prior to moving to Cleveland, Ohio to raise a family that relocated to Spring, Texas in 1981. Jeff, an Air Force veteran, quickly adapted to his new Southern lifestyle and embraced that until the end of his days.
Jeff was married to and preceded in death by the love of his life Barbara Lee Keeler in 2018. Jeff and Barbara were married for 54 years and each day without her since her passing seemed like another 54 years for him. They are now at peace together and for those that know him well provides a sense of comfort. Jeff was mainly involved with banking as a Mortgage Loan Officer during his career. As that industry took a downturn, Jeff became a master of all trades and found new ways to keep his household going. Much love and appreciation goes to him for doing what he had to do for his family over the years. Once retired, he spent his time with his wife and sharing their interest in animals (except cats), wildlife and flowers.
He was also preceded in death by his parents Lee Haneline and Nannette Worley, and his sister Janice Wellman. He is survived by his brother Roger Haneline and his wife Rita; his son Brian Haneline and his wife Holly; his grandchildren Brandon and Blake Haneline as well as his extended family of Courtney Kennedy and Alessi Henson; his nieces Christine Wellman, Bridget Wellman, Pam Wellman-Sweide, Stephanie Oberlitner, Hilary Avila, Stacie Haneline, Donna Gilson and Marilyn Gesing; nephews Greg Wellman and Mark Haneline, as well as many other loving friends who have provided much appreciated help to him especially in recent years.
Graveside services will be at 1pm at the Houston National Cemetery on February 18, 2020. A reception for friends and family will be held at his house in Spring following.
