John Wayne Moore

John was born to parents Thomas and Willie Mae Moore on May 25, 1963 in Conroe, Texas. He grew up as the youngest son of five children. In 1978, at the age of 16, John started his career at Houston Northwest Medical Center, where he proudly served 42 years in the Maintenance Department.

John is survived by his father, Thomas Moore; his loving wife, Teresa Moore; daughter, Tara Hodge and husband, Charles; son, Dustin Sargent and husband, Ricky; grandson Gavin Hodge; sister, Joyce Kelch and husband, John; sister, Terri Ibarra and husband, Elias; brother, Garry Moore and wife, Debbie; brother, Sam Moore, along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. John is preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Moore and Mother-in-Love, Brenda Sue Bakker.

John was best known as a loving husband, dad, son, and brother; although his favorite name was Papaw. He loved laughing and goofing around with his family. He enjoyed gardening, working on old cars, riding motorcycles, fishing, camping and hunting.

A viewing will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, in Conroe, on Friday, October 9, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 pm. The service will take place in the Chapel at Cashner Funeral Home, on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 2:00 pm. A BBQ luncheon will follow at the family home – see a family member for the address.
