Joyce Faye Speck

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Joyce Fay Gruver Speck, of Conroe, Texas, who left us to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the age of 92. Joyce lived a beautifully full life, overflowing with love, laughter, and resilience, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Foreman; her brother, Robert Lee May; her son, Carl Ray Speck; her daughter, Carlene Gray; her grandson, Walter Jeffcoat; and her granddaughter, Dawn Marie Mullen.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her daughters Laura Pilarczyk and Darrlene Jeffcoat (Michael); her brother, James Foreman; her sister, Wanda Jean Wilson; her daughter-in-law, Robbie Ashley; and her sister-in-law, Evyonne May. Joyce was blessed with 12 grandchildren: Rusty Jeffcoat (Rachel), Gregory Jeffcoat (Brett), Raylene Ponton (Kenneth), Crissie Overton (Jamie), Christopher Pilarczyk (Lindsey), Michelle Woodman (Kevin), Bobby Mullen (Devon), Bryan Mullen (Tammy), Angie Marie Garmong, Christal Fay Speck, Dee Ann Stone, Darrell Ray Speck, Amy Simons, and Becky Sutton. Her love extended to her 30 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply.

To honor her remarkable journey and celebrate the love she shared with the world, a visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas, on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 9 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., with interment afterward at Dry Creek Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Jeffcoat, Gregory Jeffcoat, Christopher Pilarczyk, Robert May, David Smith, and David May.

Joyce’s memory will forever be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Monday, August 12, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303. A graveside service will occur Monday, August 12, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Dry Creek Cemetery, Grangerland, Texas.
