Judith Ann Traylor

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Judith Ann Traylor, who left this world peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on August 20, 1942, Judith was beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She faced her battle with cancer with courage, grace, and unshakable faith, remaining strong and brave until the very end.

Judith was preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Traylor, her parents Bill and Mary Pearl Hales, brothers Billy Jack Hales and James Herschel Hales, and sisters Reba Rollins, Ruby Joyce and Martha Jane Henderson.

She is survived by her devoted children Michael Wayne Traylor and wife Phyllis, James Mark Traylor, Chris Liska and husband Dennis and Beverly Fain and husband Doug. Judith’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Michael Scott Traylor and wife Robin, James Evan Traylor and wife Jessica, Chase Gregory and wife Taylor, Erin Lambert and husband Tom, Katy Owens and husband Clayten, Cody Gregory and wife Hailey, Douglas Fain Jr. and wife Sarah and Mason Traylor. She was also blessed with a growing generation of great grandchildren Baileigh, Jackson, Jake, Kennedy, Cutter, Joan and Haley. She also leaves her loving sisters Francis Marie Rutledge and husband Thomas, Linda Sue Shropshire and husband Jimmy, Vera Lee McKinley and fiancé Rick Earle and loving brother Tommy Ray Hales and numerous nieces and nephews.

Judith’s life was marked by love, strength, and a deep faith in the Lord. She found joy in her family and always gave of herself selflessly. Though she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing she is now in a better place, reunited with loved ones and at peace.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Cashner Funeral Home with burial to follow in County Line Cemetery. A reception will follow graveside at the Browder-Traylor Community Center.
