Cotton was born in Conroe, Texas and lived the majority of his life in Montgomery, Texas. He enjoyed cheering for the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved a good Dr. Pepper and taking long walks.
Cotton was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Delilah and sisters, Claudia Matchett and Tammy Giles. He is survived by his son Eric Giles and wife Brandie, grandchildren Kami and Kallie Giles, sister Sherry Gurka and husband Billy Joe, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Cashner Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, and end at 2:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Lawrence Keasling, Floyd Keasling, William Giles, Robert McGee, Billy Joe Gurka and Gary Phillips.
