Laura was born October 13, 1935 in Opelousas, Louisiana to Robert and Sally Barclay. She was the second of five children: Sonny, Don, Joe and Sarah Barclay. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Todd of 48 years and her sons, David Berry and Larry Todd.
Laura is survived by her daughters Dona Berry, Gloria Parsons her husband Larry Parsons, son Paul Berry, daughters-in-law Pauline Todd and Jody Berry, grandchildren Michael Berry his wife Alex, Christian Berry his wife Sarita, Timothy Berry his wife Sami, Ali Baker and her husband Nick, Brandie Taylor and her husband Cody, Kim Deleon and her husband Rudy. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Laura was raised in a small Baptist church where she accepted Christ at the age of nine. She loved working with the GA’s youth (Girls in Action) for many years. She loved her church family and was active in various roles including President of her Sunday School class for over 20 years.
Laura age 50, retired from Exxon after 25 years and moved with Charles to the Conroe- Willis area. Her favorite past time was RVing and camping. They were blessed in traveling both nationally and internationally.
In 1987 Laura joined Mims Baptist Church where she served faithfully for 34 years. In Laura’s words “Life without Jesus isn’t life. Jesus is my everything.”
The family expresses sincere gratitude and appreciation for the many friends and neighbors for their love and support. Each of the attending staff of Encompass Home Hospice Care (Rebecca, Melissa, Jo, and Bart) were professional and loving in their tender care making the process much easier to bear.
Special gratitude and appreciation for Laura’s best friend, Bonnie Kay and dear friend/care provider, Debbie Adams.
Visitation will held at Cashner Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 14th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are set for Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Cashner Funeral Home with burial to follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers for the interment service are: Michael Berry, Christian Berry, Timothy Berry, David Berry, Rudy Deleon and Ryland Tinh.
