They have always been a part of her life; and DeAnn Greenwood, a close friend since her Continental years. There is simply no room for all the special people who loved LaVern and were loved by her.
LaVern retired from Continental Airlines where she was a valued and loved employee. She was a fun-loving, high-spirited young woman, aptly known for always knowing where the bargains were. She graduated Shopping-- magna cum laude. She was a lover of antiques and would whisk you into an antique store without a moment's notice. She knew each items worth and it was such fun to shop with her. She was a world traveler and made it to some fantastic places and then came home and made you wish you’d been with her. Her last years were not kind to her and it is with the saddest joy to think of her in Heaven. Her wish was to be cremated and there will be a memorial of her life held at her daughter Shelia’s house on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
