Lois Pearl McFarland was born August 4, 1927, in Crawford County, Arkansas to Carl Edward and Avis Opel Peterson Brant, and passed away September 26, 2015, in Palestine, Texas at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel McFarland; son, Fred Baldwin; daughter, Carla Sue Cheatham; and sisters, Edna Knight and Carolyn Wellborn. She is survived by her children, Barbara Jo Hughes, Roger McFarland and Sidney Holcomb; sister, Betty Cottle; and brother, James K. Brant. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Family will receive friends, at a visitation, from 11:30am until 12:30pm. A Funeral Service will follow in the Cashner Colonial Chapel, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 12:30pm with Pastor Tim Byrd as officiate. Burial will follow at Field Store Cemetery, FM 1488 and Fm 362 near Waller, Texas.
