Marian Ruth Kopinitz

Tootsie was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Arevalo, grandson Zachary Luke Elias, and great-grandson Dallas East Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Kopinitz. They were married for 72 years. Tootsie is also survived by 3 children – Debora East and son-in-law Dale, David Kopinitz and daughter-in-law Susan, and Marianne Elias and son-in-law Roosevelt. She is survived by 5 grandchildren – Brian East, Karen Thompson and husband Justin, Kevin East and wife Adriana, Benjamin Elias, Julianne Elias and a great grand-daughter – Sabine Thompson.

Tootsie was a life-long Methodist and a member of First Methodist Church in Conroe for over 30 years. She loved reading, attending church, and hosting family gatherings.

Pastor Jacob Torrez of Lakewood Methodist Church will officiate a graveside service at 10:30 on Saturday, September 27th at Forest Park Woodlands.
