Maynard G. Shank, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, at the age of 92.
Born on June 17, 1933, Maynard lived a life marked by dedication, service, and deep love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, carrying with him a strong sense of duty and honor throughout his life. He was also a proud member of the American Legion, where he found camaraderie among fellow veterans.
Maynard was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Keith and Mildred Shank; his sister, Donna Maki; and his brother, Richard Shank.
He is survived by his loving wife, Geri Shank, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. He also leaves behind his daughter, Dodi Cevera; his granddaughter, Jennifer Ellis and her husband Russell; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Emma Ellis, Madeline Ellis, and Jack Ellis and his brother Keith Shank, Jr. His family was the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in the time spent with them.
In his leisure, Maynard enjoyed golfing and took great pleasure in the simple moments—especially those shared with his grandchildren, whose laughter and presence brought him immense happiness.
Maynard will be remembered for his quiet strength, his unwavering love for his family, and the legacy of kindness and dedication he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
