Michael "Mike" Lee Pace, born on August 7, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2025, at the age of 76. An adventurous, generous, and hard-working soul, Mike leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom.
Raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Mike graduated from Mary Carroll High School and pursued higher education at Sam Houston State University, earning a degree in photography. His life was marked by service and innovation. Mike bravely served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and continued to serve his community as a member of the Corpus Christi Police Department. A visionary in the screen printing industry, he dedicated nearly two decades to innovation and excellence.
For 48 years, Mike shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Lora Kay Pace. Together, they built a life filled with rich memories and cherished family. Mike was a devoted father to his sons, Andrew Pace (Staci) of Conroe, Texas, and Patrick Pace (Mysti). He adored his grandchildren: Reese Pace of College Station, Texas; Ethan and Madeline Pace of Conroe, Texas; and Pippa, Fitz, and Fox Pace of Canyon, Texas.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mike was a man of many interests. He found joy in hunting and fishing, delved into family history and genealogy, and was an enthusiast in cooking and grilling. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and sharing his profound wisdom.
Mike's kind heart was both patient and generous, leaving an indelible impact on everyone around him. Among his parting wishes, Mike requested to share, "I surrender to God, my father, and his mighty son, Jesus Christ, who came to earth as a man, who laid down his life on the cross, and died for my sins, yet he rose, undefeated by death, so that I may be granted everlasting life. My oath, so help me God."
Family members preceding Mike in death include his parents, Earl and Joyce Pace. He is survived by his siblings, Janie Glasson and Jack Pace, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, and many other family members and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at Elkins Lake Baptist Church, located at 206 TX-19, Huntsville, TX 77340, on April 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
