Myrna "Micki" Lee Anderson

Micki was born in Houston, Texas, she later went to college, loved reading books, and she could speed read well. In 1969, she married James Calvin “Andy” Anderson in Houston and later moved to Conroe where they raised five children. She worked in various medical positions; opened a daycare in Conroe and later retired. She was a beautiful seamstress; sewing clothes for her children and dance recital costumes for many years and She enjoyed spending time with friends who sewed with her. She loved gardening and having nice flowers in her yard where She enjoyed sitting outside and reading her books. She encouraged her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to read as this was a passion for her. She loved her cats. She passed peacefully in her home from natural causes at the age of 88 surrounded by her family. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a great friend. She will truly be missed.

She is survived by her sister Joy Griss and brother Johnny Jones. Cousin Forrest “Bo” Glen, Nephew Frank Barfield, his children and grandchildren, Niece Joy Hughes and husband Larry Hughes. Niece Jill Anderson Cox, husband Lane Cox and their family.

Her five Children, Kimberly Merdian and husband Daryl Merdian, Kelley Dugas, Elizabeth Baker and husband Cliff Baker, Jamie Anderson and wife Marissa Anderson, and Stephanie Anderson.

Her Grandchildren, Kayla Broughton and husband Pierre Broughton, Garrison Price and wife Tanis Price, Denver Dugas, Devin Dugas, Daniel Johnston, Cody Baker and wife Jenifer Baker, Zachary Baker, Allison Anderson and husband TJ Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Ocean Vasquez and Sway Anderson.

Her Great Grandchildren, AJ Broughton, Stevie Roan Price, Houston Price, Kashton Dugas, Isabella Dugas, Parker Dugas, Ainsley Dugas, Melanie Wall, Sylvia Baker, Charlotte Baker, and Meadow Diaz.

Preceded in death by her husband James Calvin “Andy” Anderson, her mother Ethel Glen, her father John Jones, her son-n-law Alton Dugas, nephew Grant Guarin, and her grandson Jacob Baker.

A Graveside service for Micki will be held at Cashner Funeral Home Friday May 29, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303.
