Pauline was born in Lewistown, Missouri where she was raised by her Great Grandmother and her Great-Great Grandmother on the family farm. During World War II she worked as a riveter in a defense plant in Kansas City. While in Kansas City she met her future husband Joseph Preston England, who was assigned to be stationed in Panama where he came to know Jesus as his Savior. They married in 1948 in Panama where she too became a passionate follower of Jesus.
Together, she, Joseph and their daughter Pauline, traveled the world for 27 years in his service with the Air Force which included living in Japan, Taiwan, and several stateside assignments. Wherever the family was stationed they would live outside of the military base so they could embrace the culture and share Christ by leading Bible Studies and social gathering in their home.
Pauline loved the Lord Jesus and wanted everyone to know her personal Savior. Her life was marked as an extraordinary prayer warrior on behalf of people she came in daily contact with as well as others around the world. Pauline lived a life honoring the Lord, loving people and was most gracious and generous in helping others. She joyfully anticipated hearing her Savior say, “Well done my good and faithful servant”.
Pauline is proceeded in death by her loving husband Joseph of 51 years and her cousin Craig Meigs. She is survived by her daughter Pauline Yancey, son in law Roger Yancey, grandson Preston Yancey, his wife Hilary Yancey and three great grandchildren Jackson, Junia, Joanna. Cousins Susie Wilson and family, Nathan and Frankie Meigs, and their four sons and families: Craig’s wife Karen, Doug and Angie Meigs, Michael and Kelly Meigs, and Rusty and Polly Meigs.
