Raymond was born May 11, 1938 in Bremond Texas to John and Rose Szydlik Mileski and passed away on March 7, 2024 in Willis Texas.
Raymond graduated from Bremond High School May 24, 1957, and moved to Houston Texas and started working at F.H. Maloney in 1959 and retired in 1994. While working at F.H. Maloney he enlisted in the Army in 1961 and honorably discharged in 1967.
Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family and having an iced cold adult beverage and telling stories. He enjoyed fishing the river banks with his cane pole. He was always willing to play a game of “42” dominos. He was an avid sports fan with baseball being his favorite. You could find Raymond sitting in the bleachers back in the 80’s watching his son (Thomas) play for the Willis Wildkats baseball and football team and he continued to sit in the bleachers watching his grandsons (Justin and Kevin “Possum”) play in the 2000’s. At the baseball fields you could always hear him yelling at his grandchildren to “Hit a lick”. He loved to go gambling and went every opportunity he could and passed that hobby down to his “possum”. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 618 in Willis Texas and a member of the VFW.
