Richard Lawrence Smith

Best known as “Dad”/"Pop", he was a lifelong truck driver. He loved the Lord, his family, and a life of many journeys in his big rig. Dad was a simple man with the biggest heart and the biggest smile. He was a gentle giant that gave the best hugs and could instantly make you feel at home.

Dad/Pop will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Jerrie, his seven children, Lynn Perkins and wife Virginia, Larry Perkins and wife Joyce, Lisle Perkins and wife Deborah, Rick Smith and wife Karoline, Ronnie Smith and wife Angie, Randy Smith and wife Jennifer, and Rhonda Perkins, 24 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. His son Leslie preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Cashner Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Seal to officiate. Friends are welcome to visit before services begin on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bryce Smith, Holden Smith, Kris Smith, Kaden Smith, R.J. Smith, and Keaton Smith with Dalton Smith and Leah Smith serving as honorary pallbearers.
