Bob moved his family from Lansing, Michigan in 1981 to Conroe, Texas. Where he started a thriving lawn service called Bob’s lawn service.
He served as a deacon at first Assembly of God in Conroe. He and his wife Tonie alongside their pastors, Lloyd Maddoux and Pat Maddoux traveled several times to Villa de Ramos Mexico to build a church. He always said it was a highlight in his life. Bob took on a project in Juarez, Mexico for Rancho los amigos orphanage, that were in need of undated underground plumbing repairs alongside a few of his fellow companions from first Assembly of God. Bob was known for hosting several 4th of July celebrations which are still remembered. He was also very involved with lifestyle Christian school sports where his son Tico attended. Bob was old school in that he kept in contact with his sibling on a weekly bases checking in and having a chuckle or two. These were precious moments. He loved to travel, meet new people, and he never knew a stranger. He had an amazing sense of humor, he was a good provider and a devoted husband and father.
Bob is proceeded by death in 2015 his middle daughter, Melissa Reyes Mendoza. He is survived by his wife, Maria A. Mendoza, children, Diane M. Courtney and Robert Mendoza Jr, grandchildren, Cameron Courtney, Chad Courtney, Amber Clausen, Angela Rangel, Amy Clausen, Adrianna Mendoza, Gage Mendoza Delilah Mendoza, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Roberto will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cashner Funeral Home.
