I haven't seen Roger since high school, but I remember him quite well.  He was such a nice guy.  We had a few classes together, but in senior English, he sat next to me and we would chat while waiting for teacher. I am so sorry for the great loss suffered by family members.

Vickie and I have had all of you in our thoughts and prayers since you called.  Seeing these pictures here brought tears to our eyes as we remember our dear cousin, Roger.  Even though we did not see each other a lot through the years, we always felt a kindred love from all of you!  Uncle Pat and Aunt Lena were so proud of him when he entered the ministry.

  I so enjoyed the week several years ago I spent with all of you! 

 We wish we could have been there with all of you today!

  Know that our hearts are aching, but we know that Roger is walking beside his Lord and Savior with a new body in Him!  What a wonderful reunion that must be going on with Uncle Pat, Aunt Lena, my parents, and so many others that were there to greet him!

  Our love, thoughts, and prayers are with you, Christine, and family!  We love you!

I met Roger 14 years ago when I first came to Arrow Child and Family Ministries.   A very vibrant man and ALWAYS had a smile on his face and something kind to say.  This dear man touched many lives during his time on this earth and he was so proud of his children.  You will be greatly missed Roger.

Ps. 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delighteth in his ways.  We knew Roger as a youth and young man.  Even then you knew he had a heart for the Lord and would follow in his ways.  We lost contact with Roger and his family over the years, but we did not forget them.  We were sure they would be doing the Lord's work wherever they were.  Our love and sympathy to Christine and the children.

I, too, am grieved by the passing of Roger.  His life was an awesome tribute to the Lord Jesus Christ residing in him.  I often recall my childhood travels from Michigan to West Virginia every summer to visit my family, the Spatafores and the Linvilles, who were neighbors to Roger and his parents.  When he came to minister for a short time in Michigan, my daughter, Christa, got to meet and go to school with his daughters, Melissa and Melodie.  I do and always will hold Roger in a special place in my heart.

Even though I knew Roger for only a few years.  I know he had a big heart.  He had a great sense of humor that could make any one smile.  Some times I think he did things just to mess with people.  A great example is the van.  Oh where do I start.   Seems like he was always trying to improve it.  Granted it needed the help, but he had put his personal touches on it too.  Between the switches for the drivers chair that were always broken and interior lights that never seemed to work when you wanted them to. It was a real peach. 
     I can still picture him telling a funny little story in the kitchen then wheeling around in his wheel chair and laughing all the way to his room. Even though he had loved Fords I can still appreciate his love for cars seemed like he had a few nice ones through the years.  I could alway rely on him to put a smile on my face.  He left an ever lasting impression on me.  He was loved and will be missed.
