Rosalie D. Hoffart, age 89, passed away on May 4, 2026. She was a resident of Montgomery, Texas. Born August 16, 1936, in Dobbin, Texas, Rosalie was the daughter of Conrad and Mary Diehl and grew up on a farm surrounded by the steady rhythms of work and the strength of a big family—roots that shaped a life marked by devotion, loyalty, and quiet generosity.
Rosalie dedicated many years of faithful service to Montgomery Independent School District, retiring as Cafeteria Manager. In that role, she was known for her hard work and kind-hearted spirit, offering care in the everyday ways that matter most and leaving a lasting impression on those she served alongside.
In 1954, Rosalie married Ralph Hoffart. Together they built a home centered on love and steadfast commitment, raising six children with the enduring, beloved presence of a mother whose support could be counted on through every season of life.
Rosalie found joy in simple pleasures and shared time—camping, hunting, gambling, and playing games with friends and family. These moments reflected her warm, generous nature and the deep value she placed on togetherness.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hoffart; her daughter, Rose Brown; her son, David Hoffart; her granddaughter, Jennifer Hoffart; and her grandson, Donald DeGaugh. She is survived by her son, Ralph Hoffart, Jr. and wife Terry; her daughter, Diane Gilbert and husband Duane; her daughter, Aileen DeGaugh and husband Donald; her daughter, Tina Emerson and husband Mark; her grandchildren, Valerie Gillam, Melissa Thomas, Mark Gilbert, Christopher Brown, Michael Gilbert, Mitchell Gilbert, Amanda Emerson, Jordan Hoffart, Aaron Emerson, and Chance Hoffart; as well as several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, US, on May 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Saint Mary Church Cemetery, 8227 Cr205, Plantersville, TX 77363, US, on May 12, 2026, at 10:00 am.
