Sara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold James Hagan, in 2014. She is survived by her son Stephen Christopher Hagan and wife Tanya, her daughter Jennifer Hagan Broussard and brother Harry Stevenson.
Sara was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a proud, patriotic American who stood for the National Anthem whenever it was played.
Honey Girl, who never met a stranger, was a dedicated friend and mother. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures of antiquing, working in her yard, hosting fabulous dinner parties for all her friends and playing golf, where she holds the family record for three holes-in-one.
Sara had a big heart and could and would do anything for anyone. She was well-loved by anyone who met her, and leaves behind many friends who cherished their time with her. She always provided laughter and made others feel important.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or your local animal shelter.
A private graveside service will be held.
A celebration of Sara's life will be planned for a later date.
