Sheila Kaye Bishop

Born September 19, 1946, in Houston, Texas, she was the daughter of the late W. R. Kelley and Johnnie Ruth Goodson.

Sheila was a Majorette for the Sam Houston High School dance team when she graduated in 1965. She then was hired as an Operator at Southwestern Bell and eventually retired from AT&T after 30+ years as a long-distance Operator where she made many lifelong friends.

She is survived by her brother, Philip Patrick Goodson and his wife, Jill of Dripping Springs, Texas; brother Kevin Skoblick and his wife, Jean, of Camarillo, California; step-brothers, Alfred C. Goodson and his wife Judith of Lansing, Michigan, Jeffrey W. Goodson of Wimberly, Texas and James Goodson and his wife, Susan; her son, Charles Douglas Slaughter of Spring, Texas and his wife, Evelyn; her daughter, Stephanie Celeste Slaughter of Houston, Texas; grandson Joshua Slaughter; grandson Chuck Slaughter granddaughter Alexis Neal; and a great-great-granddaughter Aspen Grace Seda.

Sheila is preceded in death by her father, W. R. Kelley and his wife Catherine; her mother, Johnnie Ruth Goodson and her husband A. C. Goodson; her husband Linwood E. Bishop, Jr; sisters Anne Medrano and Susan Fitchner.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at 2:00 p. m. at Cashner Funeral Home and Cemetery, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303.
