In her twenties, Sonia was a professor of Spanish Literature at a private high school in Puerto Rico. Later she became an entrepreneur working out of home in the physical fitness industry. She was a sought after floral artist who blessed many weddings and special occasions with her floral creations. She was an active member of the Puerto Rico Chapter of American Business Woman’s Association. She was frequent volunteer at United Way Organization. Later in life she became a nail technician and opened her own nail and massage therapy salon Nails N’ Niceties in Memorial, TX still in operation under different management. This last year she became one of six owners of Pickleball Hideout located in Montgomery, TX. Sonia’s passion however was helping others and along with her husband Henry, they sponsored 22 children in Sierra Leone, Africa.
Sonia was an only child and preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Henry Woyton, daughter Denise Wilbanks and husband Robert, son Karl Woyton and wife Stacy, grandchildren Darren and Ryan Wilbanks, Sean Woyton and wife Taylor, Connor Woyton and great-grandchildren Baker and Adeline Woyton.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on July 12th 2024 at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, TX followed by reception then private burial at the Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Holy Spirit Educational Movement. This is the foundation set up in August of 2007 to educate the 22 children in Africa among who are now nurses, an attorney and executive at World Vision.
