Susan "Susie" Carlene Pynes

Susie Knight Pynes, 74, of Trinity passed away November 7, 2025, following a serious illness. She was born in Beamont, Texas on July 26, 1951, to Frances Marie Knight Hussey.

A graduate of Trinity High School in 1969, Susie enjoyed gardening, landscaping, birds, cats and most of all, spending time with her family, watching her great nephew, Dalton Hopkins play ball. She married the love her life, Larry M. Pynes, on December 17, 1988.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Larry M. Pynes; mother, Francis Marie Hussey; grandparents, Jody & Susan Anna Miller; sister & her husband, Betty Ann & Bobby Weatherford; brothers, Roger Dales Knight, Phillip Knight and Billy Knight.

Susie leaves to mourn her death, sister & husband, Jeannette & Lloyd Burson and her special niece, Tara Burson Hopkins, whom she considered her own child; nephews, Brock & JoAnn Weatherford, Brent & Christi Weatherford, Laramie & Erin Burson and B.J. & Holly McMichael; nieces & husband, Lisa & Phillip Langlais and niece, Tana Knight. She also leaves several great & great great nieces and nephews.

Per Susie’s wishes, there will be no formal services, as she wishes to be spread with Larry’s ashes together in Galveston, Texas, their favorite place.
