passed away on June 3, 2022 at the age of 87 in Willis, Texas.
Tommy grew up in Crestview, Florida where he attended high school. After junior college at the age of 20, he entered into the United States Air Force and served four years active duty. In 1961, he married Shelba Jean Satterwhite and five years later, he moved his young family to Houston. After 38 years of marriage, Jean passed away in 1999. He married Karen Christian in 2003 and they shared almost 19 years together. He and Karen enjoyed their retirement years on Lake Conroe watching the birds and chasing the squirrels away. Tommy will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is proceeded in death by his first wife, Shelba Jean Ward, brother Charles Lance Ward, father George Thomas Ward, and his mother Bertha Louise Powell.
Tommy is survived by his wife Karen Christian Ward, son and daughter in law Kerry and Susan Ward, daughter and son in law Bethany and Charles Manicom, stepdaughter Terri and Walt Bronson, stepson Mark and Jackie Christian, brother James Ward and wife Etta and cousin, Jack Powell. Thomas is also survived by his grandchildren Cassie Ward, Carsten Ward, Megan Manicom, Chad Manicom, Taylor Cooper and husband John, James Wilcox, Lauren Christian, Danielle Weems, Adrian Carli, David Gilday, and Michael Gilday. Great grandchildren Carter Manicom, Gage Cooper, Tate Cooper, Tyler Wilcox, Alicia Motley, and Jamie Wilcox and beloved pet Lucy.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00am at First Methodist Church of Conroe with visitation one hour prior to services. Private family burial will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
