Born on August 19, 1947, in Talamantes, Chihuahua, Mexico, Vicente lived a life marked by faith, family, and purpose. He later settled in Conroe, Texas, where he spent his retirement years enjoying the simple things that brought him joy—his daily walks, time with his dogs, and rooting for his favorite baseball teams. He was a devoted man of God and found great strength and community through his church.
Vicente was known for his outgoing spirit, honesty, and admirable work ethic. He was sociable and always willing to lend a helping hand, though he was proudly set in his ways. A natural “picker,” Vicente had an eye for finding value in the overlooked and took pride in staying active and independent throughout his life.
He passed down his passion for baseball and cars to his family, especially his son Vince, with whom he shared countless lessons in both sports and life. Whether teaching how to maintain an automobile or spending afternoons at the ballfield, Vicente's influence lives on in the memories and values he instilled.
Vicente is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Olivas; his children, Vince Olivas and his wife Daisy Olivas, and Yamel Meeks and her husband Michael Meeks. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Kyla Olivas, Mia Meeks, Aolani Meeks, and Jordan Olivas, and he looked forward with great joy to the arrival of his newest grandson, Maddox Olivas.
He is also survived by his beloved sister, Enedina Rojas. He was preceded in death by beloved family members who now lovingly welcome him home.
Vicente’s legacy of love, faith, and resilience will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
