Virgil Lee Fleming, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, at the age of 92, in Conroe, Texas. Born on December 14, 1931, in Miami, Florida. Virgil lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and a deep love for the outdoors.
A devoted Christian, Virgil exemplified what it meant to live a life of service and compassion. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, earning the respect and affection of all who knew him. His warm spirit, gentle nature, and sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone he came across.
Virgil had a profound passion for hunting and fishing, finding joy in the beauty of nature and God’s work. He will be remembered as a remarkable man who touched many lives with his kindness and faith.
Virgil Lee Fleming is preceded in death by his wife Trudy Mae Fleming, parents, John Lee Fleming and Julia Vera Fleming, and 10 siblings. He is survived by daughter Gwendolyn Fleming Spjut, her husband Swen Eric Spjut, son Virgil Lee Fleming Jr., his wife Kimberly Faye Fleming, grandchildren Erik Fleming Spjut, his wife Laura Anne Spjut, Lauren Nichole Spjut, Lindsey Marie Spjut, Adam Fleming, and great-granddaughters Luka Anne Spjut and Ezra Noel Spjut.
A graveside for Virgil will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303.
