She met the love of her life, Arthur Eng, in 1955. They were married in New Jersey 66 years ago.
She is survived by her loving husband Arthur, son Douglas, daughters Donna, Jennifer and Judi, as well as her 9 grandchildren who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Anna was well loved for her endless smiles and gift of conversation. Her family and friends cherished her generosity and welcoming character, as she was always ready to listen with a sympathetic ear and to amuse with her famous stories. Her pride was being a truly dedicated and beloved educator who touched the lives of many students. Contributing to the school’s mission, she shared her deep passion for learning which brought her from NJ to CT and then on to TX. Her magical green thumb kept her home and garden a delight with hibiscus, African violets and plenty of green plants. Her love for cruises was unquenchable; she and her husband have had memorable trips together. As an avid sportswoman, she excelled in tennis, golf and volleyball as well as playing bridge for all her life. She loved challenges whether through an impressive hole in one, an unrivaled hand at bridge or a display of her vast range of trivia knowledge as a Mensa Member. Anna will be remembered and celebrated for her vibrant full life, her beautiful smile and kind heart.
She wished to be remembered as a hardworking, loving mother, and a loyal, unselfish friend as well as an esteemed, respected colleague. At her request, in her final wishes, there will be no memorial service or funeral.
When someone becomes a memory, a memory becomes a treasure.
