Donald Patrick Scott

Mr. Donald “Grumpa” Scott died Peacefully in his home on February 7th, 2023 in Margate, FL. Donald is survived by his wife Tina; children, Candice, Ryan, Terun and Brandon; siblings, Jimmy. Son in law(s) Scott and Jason; Daughter in law(s) Anna and Ashley; Grandchildren Brianna, Jacob, Connor, Jayden, Chase, Jordan, Kalanie, Aliza; Great-grandson Baylor.

Don was born on October 18th 1958 in Port of Spain, Trinidad to Everard and Betty Scott. He graduated from Saint Anthonys College. He married Tina Marie Thompson Scott in 1980. In 1984 he moved his family from Trinidad to Florida. Over 42 years, the couple welcomed four children into their home. Don set about teaching them as many life skills as possible, to be able to fix things independently and encouraged them to always be there for each other. His children remember him as a Loving, Funny, Supportive, Doating Father/Grandfather.

Don was accomplished at fixing any and everything and even invented/created his own tools. He was a Funny, straightforward, genuine, individual who loved his wife, children and grandchildren dearly. He was passionate about his plants, tools, offshore powerboat racing and Nascar.

A celebration of life memorial gathering for Donald will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kraeer Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1655 N. University Dr, Coral Springs, FL 33071. Following the celebration of life memorial gathering will be a memorial service at 1:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Don’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the ASPCA.
