Florence Fialk

20 March, 19343 October, 2021

Today we lost our beloved mother, Florence Beatrice (Bea) Sendlbeck Fialk. Bea passed away after a prolonged illness, surrounded by her five children and grandchildren in Margate, Florida where she resided for 45 years. Bea devoted her professional life to nursing and caring for others as a CVICU nurse. She was a charge nurse, preceptor/mentor and secretary of the Broward Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses until the age of 79. Beatrice was born in Paris, France and spent the first 13 years of her life in Europe. She moved to New York City with her mother, Dr. Elise Sendlbeck, where she eventually went to nursing school at St. Vincent’s in Manhattan, carrying on the proud medical tradition of her mother, grandfather and great uncles. Bea married Richard Fialk (dec.) in 1957. She is survived by her five children; Barbara Fialk and son Christian Sadar, Deborah Fialk and Mike Tripp, Theresa Nadassy, her husband Ken and daughter Alison Beatrice, Richard Fialk, his wife Paula and sons Wesley and Brady, and JoAnne Oncea and her husband Bill. Bea’s life was enriched by the many friends she loved and cherished and who became part of her extended family. She loved cooking for friends and family, traveling, attending concerts, the theater, movies and museums. Mom’s love and appreciation for every single day is something we all strive to emulate. A mass will be said at St. Andrews Catholic Church (9950 NW 29th St. Coral Springs) at 11:00 AM on October 7, 2021 with internment to follow at Our Lady, Queen of Heaven cemetery in North Lauderdale, Fl. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the PHA (Pulmonary Hypertension) Foundation

Beanie was one of the kindest and warmest people i have ever met.
Growing up in Fanwood NJ on Locust Ave Beanie always was a mother figure for all the children on our block.
She never had a cross word for anyone.
She treated everyone with respect and dignity . A religious women her 5 kids were her world yet she had the patience of a Saint.
She will be missed.

"Saint Bea" was my hero. I worked with her 15 years, then moved to Central Florida. In my 45 years working I never met anyone like Bea. She was my inspiration in life. Bea's sincere love with God became her daily life. Bea's legacy lives on forever. ♥️
