Block, Jerald F., 46, of Parkland, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012. He and his wife, Lisa, own and operate "Beautiful Things", specializing in retail lighting for over 15 years. Jerald was generous, loving and kind and the most important thing to him was his family and friends. He was an extreme FSU fan wearing Nole T-shirts daily. He enjoyed golf, gambling and what he referred to as Sublicious Sunday Football. His family referred to him as the "midnight muncher" because he loved to eat. Jerald enjoyed numerous family vacations with his close family friends. They were known as the Knechting-Blocks. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Lisa, daughter, Ashley Block, son, Ryan Block, father, Les (Ivy) Block and mother-in-law, Liz Acquavella. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 18, 2012, 2:00 -4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center. 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, March 19, 2012, 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
