Joseph Palopoli, a 50 year resident of Margate/Coconut Creek, passed away peacefully at home with his wife of 62 years in the early morning this Memorial Day. The son of Italian American parents, Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 7th, 1933. At 19 years old, he met the love of his life, Roseann Salerno and they married on October 20th, 1956. In 1969, they left New York for Margate, FL with their two children, Denise Palopoli Elias, Coconut Creek and Joseph Palopoli Jr. (Christina) of Parkland/Coral Springs. Joe was a US Army veteran and retired from E.B. Stimpson company after 45 years. A humble, loyal, generous, kind and witty man, Joe devoted his life to his family and faith. He and Roseann were instrumental in growing St. Vincent Catholic Church in Margate, where they were Eucharistic Ministers and members of the The Saint Vincent DePaul Society and Joe, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus for over 25 years. A loyal Jets fan, Joe enjoyed watching football, playing tennis or bowling with friends, but most of all spending time with family, including grandchildren Adam Elias, Ryan Elias (Laura), Joseph Palopoli III and Michael Victor Palopoli. Joe is also survived by many beloved Nieces and Nephews in Long Island, NY. His family will receive friends for viewing and services on Thursday, May 30th at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1655 N. University Dr., Coral Springs, FL 33071 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 6350 NW 18th St. Margate, FL 33063 at 10:00 am
