Kenneth Barchi

Kenneth Francis Barchi died peacefully on April 16th, 2023, at the age of 95. He is survived by his son Stephen Barchi; daughter in law Theresa Barchi; his grandchildren Stephen Barchi and Lauren Barchi; and his great nephew John C. Theillon. He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Barchi, his mother Marie Barchi and his father Stephen L. Barchi.

Kenneth was born on August 24th, 1927, in Union City, New Jersey. He was a proud veteran who served in the Korean War. While in Korea he actually built a school for young children.

He was a successful entrepreneur, workalcoholic, and inventor. While living in New Jersey, he started his own oil company called Kents, when he was only 17 years old. He also had a hotdog cart business, was a landlord, and a laundromat owner. He had his own plumbing business and also dabbled in real estate, buying unrenovated apartments which he refurbished.

Kenneth married the love of his life Marjorie Barchi, on April 8th, 1967. After living in West New York, New Jersey, they moved to Florida around 1973. Kenneth was an avid fisherman. After obtaining his captain’s license, he bought a beautiful boat in which he ran charter excursions on.

Kenneth traveled throughout Florida selling aluminum for a large company. Both he and his wife had many shared interests which included; fishing, antiquing (buying and selling antique silverware), and taking cruises to different parts of the world. Most of all he loved entertaining. He was a gourmet chef who would host extravagant dinner parties and enjoyed smoking a good cigar.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday April 22th, 1:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home 1655 University Drive in Coral Springs, Florida. Father Hoyer Michael will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Kenneth’s life. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to t2t.org. The family would like to thank Blake, Audrey, and Raquel his caretakers, and the Casabona’s for their care and friendship.

A prayer service for Kenneth will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071, with a visitation from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
