Ronald Brian Lau

Ronald (Ron) Brian Lau, age 72, passed away on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, Fl. He was born on June 25th, 1951, in Milwaukee, WI, to Frank and Betty Lau. Ron was the middle child of three boys (William & Gerald Lau). Ron grew up in Milwaukee, graduating from Francis Jordan High School and University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Ron relocated to Florida in the 1980’s. While living in South Florida, he met and married Deborah Fein. Ron and Debbie committed their eternal love for each other on May 5th, 1990. In 1991, Ron and Debbie celebrated the birth of their first child, Alexandra Jane Lau. In 1993, Ron and Debbie introduced twins to their family- Brandon Charles Lau and Justin Thomas Lau. They were not done just yet! In 1997, Matthew Jordan Lau was the final addition to the Lau family. Ron worked for Gold Coast Beverage for about 30 years, and was unable to accept retirement, so he worked part-time at Publix Super Markets for the last 6 years. Ron was also very active in the Weston community, coaching all four of his kids in soccer, baseball, and softball. Ron was also a great neighbor and friend to many.

His greatest pride and joy in life was his children. Ron lived life to the fullest, always had the best advice, and was a fearless leader to his family. You could always rely on Ron to leave a lasting impression in every moment with his sense of humor and unique outlook on life.

Ron is now united in heaven with his parents and wife. Ron is survived by his four children Alexandra (Nichole), Brandon, Justin, and Matthew, his siblings William and Gerald, and nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Church by the Glades, 400 Lakeview Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

While living in the Tampa area, Ron was very involved as a volunteer at a battered women’s shelter. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to Women in Distress, on behalf of Ron.
